How to book / order

Almost a year to the day since we had to close for the first lockdown and here we are again, however, like then we are going to be offering a hot food takeaway service for the weekend!

On Saturday the 13th and Sunday the 14th March we will offer a Mother's Day menu, along with our kids menu as a traditional hot-food takeaway.

To order there are two stages, you must complete BOTH before your booking is confirmed:

1. Place and pay for your order in the shop.

2. Come back here and book your time slot.

These collection times are limited to a few every 15 minutes so make sure to get in early if you need a particular time.

Slots are available between 12 noon and 6pm both days.

Please note the following T & C's before ordering tonight:

This is a set menu based on the Chateaubriand to share and as such we cannot split it.

The restaurant is currently closed and we are re-opening to do this menu only, other than what we will be ordering in we have no stock in house and therefore we cannot offer alternatives to any course nor can we accommodate any dietary requirements.

Each box serves 2 and is priced at £100. There are a very limited number available and we expect to sell out very quickly.

There is a vegan menu available as well and this is for one person rather than to share, either add it to the valentines for two box and have a real feast OR order both vegan.

Once you have bought your Valentines dinner for two kit from the store, please remember to book a slot for collection using the open table system, see below.

Collection is available on the Saturday (13th) 12pm to 4pm AND the Sunday (14th) 12pm to 2pm

Following on from the success of part I, Hogmanay at home, we're delighted to bring you the 2nd offering from at home by Fennel - Valentines. A set four course menu based on the mouth watering 500g Chateaubriand that has been a signature at the restaurant many times.

After Hogmanay at home we were so impressed by all the posts and stories you tagged us in, everything looked amazing and it was a real pleasure to see your creations as the evening unfolded, but it looked like you were ready for more.

This time round we're getting you a wee bit more involved - YOU'LL be cooking the show-stopping 500g Donald Russell Chateaubriand, with seasoning and full instructions provided of course. You'll then use the same pan to finish off the broccoli.

Everything else like your dauphinoise and the sauce will be prepared for you and require minimum effort, either re-heating or just plating. With an assiette of delicious sweets including chocolate fondants and salted caramel tart, it really will be an indulgent affair.

The menu is now online and will be available to purchase from Sunday night at 8pm.

*Please note this is a SET MENU - no dietary alternatives are available on this occasion although there will be a vegan menu. As the restaurant is closed and has been since Christmas we are not set up with a full kitchen to enable our usual variety of offerings and alternatives. The work involved in preparing over 200 meals means that we will only be offering this set menu as described.

With the restaurant closed from Boxing Day by the level 4 restrictions we have decided to provide a different kind of service for this years Hogmanay celebrations - a year we'll be glad to see the back of!

Presenting Hogmanay at Home - a meal for two based on the Beef Wellington that chef is renowned for, ready to cook at home. We will prepare a four course meal with bread and flavoured butters, most of which is ready to reheat or cook in the oven. Full instructions will of course be provided.

The team have been eager to bring you something like this and now that we're forced to shut anyway and only able to offer takeaway the time seemed right!

Although the concept is based on a SET MENU FOR TWO we are able to offer alternatives for those who don't eat red meat, with salmon, chicken and vegan options available.

At this stage we are unable to cater any other dietary requests due to the time factor involved, the style of production and with the restaurant being shut down with no other stock held. (Future "At home" menus will certainly be developed for catering to various dietary requirements)
