Foodie Review - 'The Seasoned Eater'

🍴Fennel Street Food Thursday’s🍴
"We headed along to @fennelinverurie on Thursday to try out their new street food offering and after struggling to come to a decision on what to order we decided to order all three of the street food plates between the two of us and our friends did the same.
Each one of them were a hit, with my particular favourite being the fish tacos - homemade tacos, homemade spiced haddock goujons, salsa & a spiced marie rose sauce (which Aileen and I both agreed made the dish) shredded lettuce, chillies & spring onion - seriously tasty!
The bratwurst hotdog topped with slow cooked bbq pulled pork, crispy fried onions and a chilli cheese sauce was J’s favourite and it’s no wonder as it really was a very good hotdog, often he’d end up disappointed but not at Fennel.
Onto the chilli beef loaded skinny fries, and the key thing to note here was the homemade skinny fries, none of your frozen ones which would have been a lot easier, and the dish was so much better for it, I mean who doesn’t love homemade chips, it made all the difference, then topped with sour cream, cheese, jalapeños and pickled chilli.
All of the above plates were £10 each which is a fantastic deal in these times, and what I love about it is the menu varies week by week, though I’m still gutted I missed the seafood noodle broth bowl and hoping to see it appear on the menu again.
Finally, I was too full for dessert but the special of pear and white chocolate cheesecake had my name written all over it, so I got a cheeky takeaway dessert to eat later that night.
Another fab meal at Fennel with friends, that doesn’t break the bank. The service is always on point here and they can’t do enough for you.
Really looking forward to seeing what else features on the street food menu and there may have been mention of some street food style desserts coming too 😋"
